SCHOOL CORRESPONDENCE
Actor of change

For 10 years, we have been organizing exchanges of letters between schools in Nice and those in developing countries on the theme of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
It is now accepted that we, citizens of industrialized countries, are responsible for the degradation of our environment on a global scale.
Through our educational tools, students will be able to understand the importance of adapting our behavior in order to preserve and share natural resources more equitably with developing countries (DCs).
Did you know ?
A scientific report notes that developed countries are responsible for more than 30% of the loss of biodiversity in countries of the South. The traditional knowledge and management methods of local communities in countries of the South are essential to the conservation and sustainable use of the resources that the Earth offers us.
A generation focused on the future
Let’s awaken our sense of solidarity !
Through these exchanges we want to show students the need to maintain the biodiversity of our planet, beyond borders and differences.
Educational contributions:
– Encourage written expression, enrichment of vocabulary.
– Encourage understanding and expression in English.

Well done to them !
Production of a documentary on palm oil.

We meet the classes for the first time in the first quarter to explain the implementation of the project, introduce sustainable development, the theme of the exchange and present the country of correspondences and assign foreign correspondences.
Teachers choose the theme of the correspondence in line with their class program and their educational objectives.
Then we coordinate the logistics of the exchanges between the two countries (either by post, by sending volunteers to the country, by email or videoconference).
We provide the answers to the students in the 3rd quarter.
The exchanges conclude with an exhibition within the school on the theme of the exchanges: the harmful effects of plastic and the solutions to stop this pollution, starting a vegetable garden for healthier food, a video on deforestation: the problem of palm oil…
Price for the entire project : 500 €
