Letter exchange between school children, an international partnership for the conservation of the seas and oceans

This round table will bring together education and cooperation stakeholders in an international project to exchange letters and work between students on the global goals 14 : Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
The objective: to combine education for sustainable development and international solidarity to give younger generations the opportunity to be informed, aware, and capable of making the right choices for the protection of our environnement. Led by the Sens Solidaires team and through French language, educators, international and French teachers from Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Senegal discussed their cultural diversity. They will share their experience and the value of this initiative for their students. Following these meetings, they will explain how this innovative project helps raise awareness among young people about marine and ocean conservation and how it can foster effective partnerships through a better understanding of each other’s lifestyles and challenges. The roundtable will be moderated by Delphine Thibaut, founder and initiator of the project.
Speakers will participate in person, in videoconference and via recorded videos, as needed. Date: Wednesday, June 11 at 2 p.m. (French time).
